We had some old wooden lap/sash windows replaced last week and could not be happier with the result. The whole process was quick, efficient, professional and cost effective. We had initially considered replacing the dry rot frames (see first two photos) with other wooden framed windows but the APS option was quite competitive cost-wise, and removes the need for future external painting. To match the age of the house and other existing windows we requested broad wooden interior sills and APS were able to match those already in the house. The installation was carried out by Sam and Hudson (with Richie also involved during the day). The installers arrived at 7:30am and worked straight through to completion at 6pm that same night. The installation was worry free and the completed interior woodwork represents fine craftmanship, with perfect fine joins and edging. Thanks to all involved, and to Sam and Hudson for the pre-installation preparation that they carried out on the sills. All that remains for us to do, is to organise the staining and painting. We had the kitchen window surround pre-undercoated for painting and the other woodwork plain, for later staining. Would not hesitate to recommend APS and/or to use their services again.
