Economic Response to the Coronavirus
Normally on a Friday, we like to bring you the latest completed project by APS Double Glazing throughout Melbourne and Regional Victoria. Today however, we thought it would be a great insight to our customers and loyal supporters, to inform and discuss the Governments $25,000 HomeBuilder Grant.
For further information on the HomeBuilder Grant please visit the Federal Governnments website for updates, applications and more.
HomeBuilder provides eligible owner-occupiers (including first home buyers) with a grant of $25,000 to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home. HomeBuilder will assist the residential construction market by encouraging the commencement of new home builds and renovations.
This could mean that now is the best time to consider upgrading to Double Glazing with APS Double Glazing Melbourne.
Australian homeowners will be offered $25,000 grants to build a new home or begin a major renovation in a $688 million federal government housing package in its bid to boost the economy and act as a lifeline to the home construction industry, during these uncertain times. The government announced the HomeBuilder program on Thursday after figures revealed the country dipped into a recession for the first time in three decades.
The grants will be means tested, allowing singles who earned up to $125,000 the previous financial year and couples who earned up to $200,000 to access the scheme. It will work along existing state & territory first home owner grants, stamp duty concessions and other schemes, including the federal government’s first-home loan deposit scheme and first-home super saver scheme.
