Not all uPVC windows offer the same level of security. APS windows are internally glazed and fully welded, with security built into the way the entire window is constructed.
See the difference a fully welded, internally glazed window makes. No pressure. No obligation.
Glazing beads are the strips that hold the glass in place. On many uPVC systems they sit on the outside of the window, where they can be accessed. If they’re removed, the glass may be taken out from the exterior.
APS fits the glazing beads on the inside. A key part of the glazing system is out of reach from outside, and combined with fully welded construction, the whole window is stronger and more secure.
For Victorian homeowners protecting their families and possessions, security shouldn’t be an afterthought.
Beads face the street. They can be reached, and potentially removed, from outside.
Beads face the room. No access from outside the home.
Many systems rely on mechanically joined mullions and transoms. Every joint is a place where movement and temperature changes can open small gaps over time.
APS components are fusion welded together into a rigid, continuous structure.
Water can travel through extremely small gaps by capillary action, reaching the internal chambers of a window profile without being seen. Fully welded construction minimises those entry points.
No mechanical joints for water to creep through and reach the steel reinforcement inside the profile.
The glazing rubber is fully welded into one continuous seal, not separate sections meeting at the corners.
External beads, especially on coloured frames, can expand, contract and pull back at the corners in Australian heat. Ours sit inside.
Internally beaded, so glazing beads can’t be accessed from outside.
Fusion-welded construction creates one rigid, continuous window.
Fewer potential pathways for air and water ingress.
Less reliance on mechanical joints that can move over time.
Designed for long-term exposure to Australian heat, sun and changing weather.
The strongest window isn’t just about the glass. It’s about how the entire window is built.
